We’re not in the business of helping people “beat the market”. We don’t use the same tired “set plays” for each client. We start by listening. We stay open-minded, and really get to know our clients, their values, and their needs before we give advice.

Our industry is notorious for technical jargon and double-talk. Our goal is to say it like it is, in plain language that regular people can understand. We educate and empower, because we believe that it creates better outcomes for our clients.

We are experts in our field who can dive deeply into the financial details of a client’s life situation. But our super power is in being able to take those details and put them together in a holistic way that creates positive long-term outcomes.

We know we’re good. We didn’t need the cold, formal, downtown high rise to prove it. The truth is, we love our work, and we’ve found that getting the self-important trappings of the financial industry out of the way helps not only our clients, but our team feel more comfortable.

Part of our mission is to help clients work to live, not live to work - and we hold that same standard for ourselves and our staff.

Crooks & Company is open 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (and we close at 1:00 pm on Fridays in the summer). We don’t do overtime and we don’t work on weekends. We value hard work, but encourage our team to maintain healthy boundaries and personal wellness.

Crooks & Company focuses on a comprehensive financial planning service offering. We use a variety of methodologies, processes, and tool sets to model out our clients’ possible futures - helping them plan their way toward the best outcomes.

We also specialize in the unique needs of public employees, a niche we’ve found to be incredibly interesting and rewarding.

We’re excited to share our expertise with new team members and to learn from them as well.

A small team that cares & room to grow.

We don’t use up all our listening and caring energy on clients. Our small, locally-based team is tight-knit, with flexible roles and responsibilities that help individual members develop their skill sets around their personal interests.

As our business and team grows we will be considering the creation of partner tracks to help foster a broader distribution of leadership and opportunity.
