CFP®s must undergo years of training - 4,000 to 6,000 hours in total - pass the CFP® exam, and adhere to strict ethical standards. Unlike some other types of financial advisors, CFP®s are held to a fiduciary standard, meaning we are obligated to act in our client's best interest.

This designation means Crooks & Company has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns. "IRS Enrolled Agent" status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Maintaining this elite status means we must adhere to strict ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.

To ensure we’re able to plan and advocate for you effectively, we must first understand your situation. This is typically done through a full financial planning course.

Depending upon staff availability and the nature of your meeting, you may meet with one or more of our licensed advisor team. We take care to pair clients with advisors who specialize in their area of interest.

Your initial Discovery meeting is free. After we understand your life situation, goals, and needs, we will provide you with an estimate. Quotes range from $900 - $2,400 with an average fee of around $1,500. Payment is due upon completion of your financial planning course, when you have received your custom printed financial plan.

Our security protocols do not allow us to send or receive sensitive information any other way (e.g. unprotected email, text…)
